As churches begin to reopen their preschool and children’s ministries, what will nursery, Sunday School, children’s worship and other programs look like in the days to come? Join Patty Burns and Belinda Stroud, state missionaries for preschool and children’s ministries, as they lead a discussion about the “new normal” in this area. Topics include children’s ministry in a socially distanced world, how to provide a clean and safe environment for children and preschoolers, ways to involve children in your worship service, and many other great ideas on how your church can minister to and disciple children, preschoolers and their families.
Learn about four ways you can teach Bible skills in a socially distanced world: at home, online, at church or while discovering the outdoors. Session leaders included Belinda Stroud with the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions, David Jennings with First Baptist Church, Tuscaloosa, Ala., Maria Brannen with Georgia Baptist Bible Drill, and Deborah Robson with North Carolina Baptist Bible Drill. The webinar was a joint venture between the three state conventions.

Preschool Sunday School is about building a foundation on Jesus’s love! In this session, we’ll talk about characteristics of the young child, meeting their needs and discovering how they learn. Our goal is to give them the building blocks of faith that can lead to a lifetime of learning and growing in Jesus. Session leader will be Beth Baldwin, director of preschool and children’s ministries at First Baptist, Tallassee.
Beth Henderson, minister to preschoolers at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Huntsville, will lead this informative session about the importance of learning centers and how to best use available classroom space.
